Aina Che’s grounded teaching style creates space for students to deepen their personal practice. Her students emerge from their practice with the rich, bright energy that yoga has to offer. She believes that Yoga practice is a method for learning to steady the attention on what is actually happening in the moment. Teaching yoga is not teaching poses, but teaching individuals; so she pays much attention on each one of her students (their bodies and alignments) in class, and does her best to keep the environment safe and full of love. Her way of teaching yoga is direct and intense, as well as compassionate, playful and loving. She believes that focusing on alignment is not just safe, but provides gateways to focus and inner stillness.
Aina began her yoga practice 11 years ago when she graduated from high school and has been teaching individuals and groups since 2008. Further studies include her second 200 Hours teacher training at Larchmont YogaWorks with Joan Hyman and Carmen Fitzgibbon, 300 Hours teacher training at Yogaworks with her mentor, Olivia Barry, 500+ Hours with Annie Carpenter, 85 Hours Pre & Postnatal at Silver Lake Yoga and Lvl 1 Ayurveda Wellness Counseling Program with James Bailey at Main Street YogaWorks, etc. Aina is also in private practice as an Ayurveda Wellness Counselor since she completed the Level 1 AWCP training with her teacher James Bailey. As a student and a practitioner of Ayurveda, Aina enjoys studying the classical and modern interpretations of the management of each system of the body and related diseases from an Ayurvedic perspective.
